Congratulations to Dean Grubb! Dean won free Cincinnati Reds tickets in a drawing that was organized by Mrs. Tonyia Hyland , Adena Local Schools Food Service Administrator! Students that bought a lunch from Wednesday, March 22nd to Thursday, March 30th had an opportunity to enter their name into the drawing.

Tomorrow is the start of the Ohio State Tests, grades 5 - 8 students will be testing over the next 5 weeks, in the subject areas of English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science. Discuss with your child about what tests they must take. Make sure the night before the test your student goes to bed on time so he or she can be well rested. Be positive and encourage your child to do their best. Please make sure students have charged their Chromebooks. Testing Dates are listed below. 5th grade: 4/4, 4/5, 4/25, 4/26, 5/2, 5/3 6th Grade: 4/11, 4/12, 5/8, 5/9 7th Grade: 3/29, 3/30, 4/27, 4/28 8th Grade: 4/13, 4/14, 4/25, 4/26, 5/4, 5/5

KING OF THE KOURT BOYS VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT--Wednesday, March 15 , 2023, at 7:00 PM. Admission: $3.00 & Concession Stand will be open.

Congratulations to 8th graders Clara Ewing and Lily Salyers who competed at the Regional Power of the Pen Tournament at Ann Simpson Davis Middle School in Dublin. Both students were honored for their achievements in their writing and earned the Power of the Pen Platinum Award! This means that they have qualified for the State Tournament in May! They will also be published authors; their winning stories will be published in the 2022-2023 Power of the Pen Book of Winners.

For students to be eligible to participate in the College Credit Plus Program for the next school year (2023-2024), students along with their parents/guardians, MUST attend one of the following informational meetings. Current CC+ students must also attend if they plan to continue in the program for next year. ***These are the only two meeting times. If you do not attend one of them then you will not be permitted to participate in CC+ next school year. **6pm on March 16th, 2023. Adena High School Auditeria. OR **5:30 PM March 21st, 2023. Ohio University-Chillicothe Bennett Hall. ***MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS MUST PASS A PLACEMENT TEST GIVEN BY THE COLLEGE TO DETERMINE IF YOU ARE "COLLEGE READY".
