ESPORTS is coming to Adena High School and our 8th grade!
Beginning next week, students participating will begin practicing after school to prepare for the Esports league that the school has chosen to participate in.
Students participating follow all our athletic guidelines and must meet the Esports eligibility requirements. A great opportunity for more of our students to participate as a member of a team.
Mr. Ryan Detty can be contacted at Adena High School for any questions about participation on our new E-Warriors team.

Our Key Club members are getting a great experience by volunteering once a month at the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio. They have been given the opportunity to help prepare and serve lunch to families that the Ronald McDonald House assists in their area.
Great job, Warriors!

The December Student of the Month for the high school is Maddie Huff.
Keep up the great work your senior year, Maddie!

Today kicked off Mr. Colopy's Whitetail Deer Project. This project consists of 4 days of hands on learning for his Zoology/Anatomy classes. The week will consist of the following
Day 1: Field Dressing/Disection of the deer. This includes teaching of how the respiratory, digestive, and reproductive systems function. Students are taught how to estimate the age of a deer by using the teeth of the animal.
Day 2: Skinning/De-boning. Students will remove the hide and de-bone the meat. They will learn how to best remove the meat in order to get it ready for processing.
Day 3: Students will process the meat into ground burger, bratwurst and steaks.
Day 4: Students will be grouped and will cook the food that they have processed over the past 3 days. Students and faculty will be served as the process becomes complete.
Our goal for this project is to give students the opportunity to explore and understand how their food is processed while being given the opportunity to learn hands on. We will continue to post daily updates through Thursday of this week.

It’s Mr. England’s turn as Adena Middle School students get a chance to tape their principal to the wall! The Junior National Honor Society held a fundraiser to benefit St. Jude’s Hospital by selling strips of tape for $1.00. It appears that many students were in the spirit of giving today. Thanks for your support and cooperation Mr. England!

We have received a $500.00 donation from a private citizen who wishes to be anonymous that will provide food baskets for Adena students who need a little extra help over the break. Thanks to this fund we have some students who will not have to find a way to get meals while school is closed. Thank you so much to a very kind couple who have made a huge difference in the lives of several children! Again, what an amazing place where the “village” steps in to meet the needs of our children. #Warrior Grattitude
