B.L.U.E. Behavior is our favorite thing to report. Joelle concentrates in all of her assignments. She is committed to being a great student. Brinley takes pride in all of her work. She listens intently and participates in all questioning. Kaelyn comes with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. She demonstrates effort each day, leading to impressive progress. Keep up the outstanding work! Hudson always shows good behavior in the lunch room. He cleans up after himself and follows the rules.

The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) has designated November 11–15, 2024 as National School Psychology Week (NSPW) with the theme “Spark Discovery.” NSPW is an annual opportunity to recognize school psychologists’ work to help youth thrive, and school communities throughout the United States will participate in activities and initiatives designed to celebrate these critical professionals. School psychologists partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community. They apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help children and youth succeed socially, behaviorally, emotionally, and academically. This year’s theme, “Spark Discovery,” is meant to evoke a sense of pride in school psychologists’ scientist-practitioner training. School psychologists support their communities in exploring connections and pursuing new ideas. Dr. Peter Faustino, NASP President, states, “As we celebrate NSPW, I would like us to remember the profound impact that positive, supportive relationships have in fostering growth and transformation. The power of meaningful connections kindles curiosity, inspires learning, and sparks the discovery of new possibilities in our schools and communities.” Dr. Faustino adds, “In a world full of possibilities, connections are the spark that ignite discovery. Join us in celebrating the power of transformative relationships and the ways that school psychologists help children thrive every day.” As part of National School Psychology Week, Adena Local Schools would like to recognize our School Psychologist Kaylyn Pryor. We appreciate all she does to "Spark Discovery" within our district.

It's Red Ribbon Week! This year's theme is Really Excellent Decisions. The theme is a reminder that by staying drug free, you are sending a message to yourself and others about how much you value yourself, your overall health, your community and your future. One thing is for sure...by making healthy choices, like staying drug free, you are much more likely to achieve your goals. So aim for the stars! We believe in you. This is also a reminder to the high school students that it is not too late to join MADE. Applications are in the office. Today's theme is, "We're groovin' with positivity." Tomorrow's theme will be, "Wacky Wednesday". Dress like your favorite inside out character or just wear your clothes inside out!

It's a great Monday! We have several more reports of B.LU.E. behavior. Shyla is a PAX leader to the fullest. She is always willing to help anyone with anything. Everything she does comes with a smile! Sonny led the class in going over the B.L.U.E Hallway poster with ease! Lillian is a joy to work.. She works hard, has a great attitude every day, and is very kind to others. In the cafeteria, Isaac always stays in his seat and raises his hand if he ever needs anything. In the gym, he always participates and is supportive of all teams. He would make a great statistician one day, the way he can remember the Bengals' record and scores! Haylee is a great addition to Adena this year! She listens to directions, puts forth great effort, and supports her teammates in all activities. Rowan is a model student in the classroom. He always pays attention and works super hard every day. Lanee is a model student in the classroom. She works hard and is a great friend to all. Brooks does a great job in the classroom with his classwork. He is always positive and happy. #RespectCommitmentPridePracticedHere
