Brace yourselves, we have a wave of B.L.U.E. behavior to report. There was a classmate that was upset and Braxton was being a great leader and friend by telling the other student everything was going to be okay. Adaley is always willing to challenge herself in gym. She took on the challenge of taking 24 clips from her back in the plank position in 51 seconds in front of her whole class. She is a positive example in all things! :) Killian has become one of the best listeners in his class. He volunteers for examples, doesn't interrupt, and always participates! Ash used his listening ears during his math test, stayed on track and got a great score! Jacob is a great student and always on task. He offers to help in any way he can while in the classroom. He is also very respectful to adults and the other students. Oaklee was walking in the hallway and picked up all of the trash he saw. Way to be committed in helping to keep our school clean! Hudson always stays quiet during pick-up and follows all directions. Keep up the great work, Hudson! Jack is committed to following directions. He pays close attention to the teacher and has all his materials ready. Jack continues to choose PAX behavior no matter what environment he's in. He is respectful, stays focused, works hard, and is kind to others. He is an exceptional Warrior! Gracie is committed to being an excellent student. She is always looking for ways she can continue and improve her progress. Rylee always works hard and takes pride in her work. Dawson wanted another student to be able to get a book from the book fair, so he bought that student a book. DJ has shown commitment in the classroom by following the routines and staying on task. Livie has shown BLUE Behavior each day this school year. She continues to be an example to our classmates. Way to shine, Livie! Sam is very hard working and has made much progress in the classroom! Nina is very kind and positive to students, even when they are having a bad day. Morgan comes to class each day with a smile on her face. She always does what she is asked and tries her best! Daxtyn is a great example of a PAX leader. He always tries his best and comes to class with a positive attitude! Josephine is a kind helper. She helps keep the classroom clean and will gladly assist any student. Moussa has worked hard on being positive. This only adds to the awesomeness that he already is. Jewel is a great listener and does her best work on every assignment. Jewel is also a kind friend and helps other students when they need help. Liam was all smiles when he FINALLY zipped up his jacket all on his own! He is determined to help others zip up and stay warm. Diederick is always kind and respectful. Macey is always kind and respectful to others. She works hard on every task she is given. Grayson is always ready to learn about the subjects in knowledge. He listens to the stories and recalls important details! Savannah works incredibly hard in growing her reading skills. She stays focused and continues to persevere even when met with a challenge. Keep working hard, Savannah! Bryson is very helpful each day. He always helps me gather up and organize our materials. He lends a helping hand to the other students and even pushes in their chairs for them. Poppy comes to class each day and does her best. She is a hard worker and never gives up. She is a great example of a PAX leader. As we walked from Music back to class Journie was the only one in her class to keep her PAX sign up the whole way! She stayed quiet, safe, and respectful the whole time. Kylee is an excellent student. She works diligently on every task she is given. Kylee is kind and cares about others. Our world needs more students like Kylee. She will definitely make our world a better place!!! Maddie loves school! She would go every day of the year if she could. She works hard on all her assignments and is so very kind to everyone she comes in contact with. And her smile lights up the room!!! Carson has made tremendous growth in participating in all activities and showing great effort. Keep it up, Carson! Chelsea comes to gym with a smile on her face and ready to do any activity. I'm so happy she learned to be comfortable and safe in the gym space!

He is always ready to help his classmates. Kinlee is a very hard worker. She comes to class daily with a positive attitude and always tries her best! Ava is always ready to learn and does her best. She is kind and helpful to all around her. Dallas has been a kind friend who helped another classmate pack his backpack. He has been working hard to complete his work and learning his math facts. Lucian has put tremendous effort into his own growth this year. For several weeks, he has worked hard to do the right thing in the classroom, showing respect, commitment, and pride regularly! He tries to quietly lead by example, staying committed even when it's not easy. Maggie always takes her time and does her best work! She goes above and beyond what is asked of her each day. Asa comes to school everyday with enthusiasm and excitement to learn! Camdyn always displays kindness to everyone. He is a hard worker and works diligently on all tasks. Camdyn has the most wonderful disposition. Lilliana uses kind words and manners in the classroom. She gives great examples of RESPECT! The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) has designated November 11–15, 2024 as National School Psychology Week (NSPW) with the theme “Spark Discovery.” NSPW is an annual opportunity to recognize school psychologists’ work to help youth thrive, and school communities throughout the United States will participate in activities and initiatives designed to celebrate these critical professionals. School psychologists partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community. They apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help children and youth succeed socially, behaviorally, emotionally, and academically. This year’s theme, “Spark Discovery,” is meant to evoke a sense of pride in school psychologists’ scientist-practitioner training. School psychologists support their communities in exploring connections and pursuing new ideas. Dr. Peter Faustino, NASP President, states, “As we celebrate NSPW, I would like us to remember the profound impact that positive, supportive relationships have in fostering growth and transformation. The power of meaningful connections kindles curiosity, inspires learning, and sparks the discovery of new possibilities in our schools and communities.” Dr. Faustino adds, “In a world full of possibilities, connections are the spark that ignite discovery. Join us in celebrating the power of transformative relationships and the ways that school psychologists help children thrive every day.” As part of National School Psychology Week, Adena Local Schools would like to recognize our School Psychologist Kaylyn Pryor. We appreciate all she does to "Spark Discovery" within our district.

It's Red Ribbon Week! This year's theme is Really Excellent Decisions. The theme is a reminder that by staying drug free, you are sending a message to yourself and others about how much you value yourself, your overall health, your community and your future. One thing is for sure...by making healthy choices, like staying drug free, you are much more likely to achieve your goals. So aim for the stars! We believe in you. This is also a reminder to the high school students that it is not too late to join MADE. Applications are in the office. Today's theme is, "We're groovin' with positivity." Tomorrow's theme will be, "Wacky Wednesday". Dress like your favorite inside out character or just wear your clothes inside out!
